The Mystery Writers of America announced its 2012 Edgar Allan Poe Awards on April 26, 2012, during its 66th gala banquet at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, New York City. The awards were announced on the 203rd anniversary of the birth of Edgar Allan Poe.
